I’ve been surfing for nearly my entire life and attest that the RipSurf is about as close as you can get to the real thing. The classic design makes me think that it was designed by surfers and once I stepped on I knew there was real thought put into the RipSurf. It allows you to dig into your turns and carve like you’re riding a real wave. My favorite type of riding is going down a gentle slope with banks on both sides. It’s also great in your driveway or any small area because you can turn so sharply.

I LOVE my RipSurf! Ask anyone who’s ridden one, it really cuts and carves like a real surfboard. Fun on flatland, EPIC on ramps! Aloha Mr. Hand!

I got this product for my fiance, who has been surfing his whole life; he was a little skeptical at first, but ended up loving this product! He has a lot of fun riding it and says it feels just like surfing, but on land.

I am very happy with my Ripsurf so far! just picked it up a few weeks ago and love riding it down along the beach where I live. If you can ride a Ripstik, this will be an easy transition!

It reminds me of these old school games I used to play where people rode on hoverboards. The RipSurf (that I like to call my deathboard) is a great product, doing exactly what it says it does. It will give you the feeling of skateboarding mixed in with the carving and freedom of surfing. The product is beautiful and well built and so far worth the money I paid for it.

Cons are: the wheels are wearing out awfully fast but at least they give you a spare one. I think more documentation and explanation is needed for spare wheels. My understanding is that it can take RipStick wheels but it’s not immediately clear.

Also, it’s pretty dangerous. When you fall you fall HARD and you might fall when you don’t expect it. That’s also part of the fun, so please be careful with it and don’t try anything crazy at first, watch out for wet surfaces and cracks in the pavement and wear protective gear if you can.

Aside from that it’s very fun and I enjoy taking it out to ride around while people stare and wonder what the heck I’m on. 😉
