How It Works

Getting around town has never been easier

Getting Started

To get started, simply download the app, scan your driver’s license and credit card. Then you are ready to scoot.  Open up the app to locate the nearest scooter. Scan the QR code and you are on your way.  All riders must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver’s license and wear a helmet.  Razor’s app relies on Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular technology to remain connected to the scooter.

01. The basics

Download the App
Download the Razor Share app in the App Store or on Google Play.
Find nearest scooter
Use the map to find the scooter you want to ride.
Scan and Ride
$1 to start. 15 cents every additional minute. Rent scooters 7AM-9PM (local rules apply). First ride, scan driver’s license on the app.

02. How to ride

Test the brakes
Test the brakes - optimally located throttle and hand brake are easy to handle, stop and go.
Kick to start the ride
Put one foot on the scooter. Kick to start - get the scooter moving. Push the thumb throttle and go.
Ride safely
Obey traffic signals. Always wear a helmet. Ride in bike lanes, not sidewalks.

03. Practice good riding habits

DO ride in bike lanes, wear a helmet, ride safely and park by bike racks and out of the right of way. DO NOT ride on sidewalks, with minors, with more than one person on a scooter, or park in pedestrian walkways, wheelchair accessible paths, driveways, crosswalks or loading zones.

04. End your ride

Park your scooter
Make sure to leave the scooter out of pedestrian and vehicle right-of-way.
End ride
Just press End Ride to release the scooter for use by the next rider!
