Razor Launching First Wheels Program to Support Kids in Need

Organizations with programs or events focused around supporting disadvantaged youth are encouraged to apply year-round

Cerritos, Calif. March 29, 2019 — Razor has been yours and your child’s first wheels for nearly twenty years, and believes that early active play leads to a healthy active lifestyle. Razor’s First Wheels Program, which is now accepting applications for the 2019 grant cycle, is dedicated to serving communities and organizations who work with disadvantaged youth who do not have access to kick scooters that provide freedom and fun with friends and family.

Razor has supported a variety of non-profits including providing 600 children with Razor A-Kick Scooters through the San Diego Veterans Coalition as well as supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach and the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica.

The 2019 First Wheels grant cycle began on March 1, 2019. Interested nonprofits can apply any time during the year.

“We believe that active play is an essential building block to a long-term healthy lifestyle,” said Erin Bitar, Vice President of Global Marketing for Razor USA. “We are committed to supporting local organizations who work with disadvantaged youth and encourage active play outside.”
